GRASS GIS on raspberryPi

installation

installation guide from GRASS here

  sudo apt-get install grass grass-doc grass-dev


GRASS needs 122 MB disc space
i got version 6.4.1
sample data from GRASS here (North Carolina data set & Spearfish data set and others)

first startup

first startup of grass with an empty project

  grass -text

Enter a location name
  MyFirstTest
the MAPSET name
  testmapset
and your directory path
  /home/pi/grass/test

now
then and
then i choose
one line descirpts
geodict datum
reference set lat, lon …
then the REGION 
North edge: 49N
West edge: 16E
South edge: 48N
East edge: 17E
then and … y y …
then you should see the command prompt of GRASS
Help is available with the command:      g.manual -i
See the licence terms with:              g.version -c
Start the GUI with:                      g.gui wxpython
When ready to quit enter:                exit

use sample data

LOCATION: gisdemo_ncspm
MAPSET: PERMANENT
DATABASE: /home/pi/grass/nc_basic_spm

projection choose UTM and those edges:
north:      258500
south:      185000
east:       678330
west:       596670

install gtk2-engines-pixbuf

set monitor to PNG (export)
  d.mon start=PNG

(follow this tutorial for a first step into the sample data.)

import data

for the nc-test-dataset a simple ascii-data-import
create a text-file with this data
1|619295.87|230592.7|start
2|622831.86|227783.4|end

then import the data with this command
v.in.ascii –overwrite input=D:\boehs\grassdata\nc_basic_spm\gisdemo_ncspm\user1\testdata.txt cat=1 x=2 y=3 out=startend col=“cat integer, east double precision, north double precision, label varchar(6)“

now you can add the vector layer startend to your map and zoom to the new points

test wms/wmts

here i get an answer
